Refund & Cancellation Policy

A Legal Disclaimer

At Karaki Design Lab, we aim to ensure transparency and fairness in all our transactions. This policy outlines how refunds, cancellations, and reschedules are handled across our offerings.

1. General Policy

All payments made to KDL are considered final unless otherwise stated.


However, we understand that plans can change — and we’ll do our best to find a fair solution where possible.

2. Design Commissions & Consulting Projects

  • A non-refundable 50% advance is required to begin all commissioned projects.

  • The balance payment is due upon completion and before delivery of final files.

  • If a project is canceled before completion, the advance will not be refunded, but no further charges will apply.

  • Once the final deliverables are shared, no refunds or reversals are possible.

 

In case of delays caused by KDL, new timelines will be mutually agreed upon.

3. Workshops, Talks & Events

  • Registration fees must be paid in full before participation.

  • Refunds are only available if KDL cancels or postpones the event.

  • If you cannot attend, you may request to transfer your slot to another participant (subject to approval).

  • No-shows are not eligible for a refund or credit.

4. Design Challenges & Open Calls

  • Entry fees (if any) for design challenges are non-refundable, as they go toward event administration and jury processing.

  • KDL reserves the right to modify or cancel an event in case of unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, participants will be offered a credit or deferral option.

5. Digital Products & Learning Materials

If KDL offers downloadable content, templates, or digital toolkits:

  • Due to the nature of digital products, all sales are final.

  • If a technical issue prevents access, we will resend or restore your access promptly.

Please include your order or registration reference number and a brief explanation.

We aim to respond within 3–5 working days.

7. Exceptions

KDL reserves the right to make exceptions at its discretion for extraordinary circumstances such as:

  • Double payment errors

  • Technical issues during payment processing

  • Workshop cancellations due to emergencies

This policy may be updated periodically to reflect new offerings or operational changes. Any updates will be posted on this page.
